Meet the Owners

Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Iowa State University (Class of 2026)
My vision for SBF is rooted in the highest standards of animal welfare. For me, goat husbandry is a clinical commitment, prioritizing health long before a kid is born and continuing until the day they join your family.
As a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and a proud graduate of Iowa State University’s Class of 2026, I integrate rigorous clinical expertise into every aspect of our care—from nutrition to preventative healthcare protocols. When you choose an animal from SBF, you are choosing a standard backed by medical science. I believe in complete transparency and am always available to share health records and diagnostic test results. My goal is to ensure you feel fully confident and supported as you welcome your new goat home.
Matt & Max | Farm Operations & Maintenance
Behind every flourishing farm is a dedicated team keeping the infrastructure intact, and for us, that’s Matt and Max. As our 'muscle' and maintenance crew, they oversee everything from complex building projects to the daily essentials like fence repair and hay management. While they often work behind the scenes, their hard work is the foundation that keeps our farm running smoothly every single day. We truly couldn't do what we do without them.
Kassidy | Co-Owner & DVM
Kim | Co-Owner
I believe in the beauty of a smaller-scale operation where quality always comes before quantity. Working alongside Kassidy, my goal is to breed and raise the best goats possible while respecting their natural instincts. I’m a strong advocate for dam-raising whenever possible, which allows our kids to develop natural foraging skills and healthy herd behaviors right from the start.
I am deeply committed to preventative care, ensuring every goat reaches its full potential before heading to its new home. On our farm, every animal is known by name and receives individual attention. We take pride in remaining a high-quality, health-focused family operation that you can trust.
